Fees
2010 fees will be available in February 2010.
Student Options
There are three accommodation and meal plan options for youth attending our summer academies.
- Day Students
You attend all of the program sessions but go home at night. Day students are encouraged to stay until the end of all evening activities. You need to arrange your own transportation to and from campus each day. Don’t forget to bring your lunches and/or suppers. We suggest that day students live or stay close by.
- Day Students with Lunches
You will have meal tickets for lunch at the residence cafeteria. Arrangements may also be made to purchase suppers.
- Residential Students
You stay in residence on campus for the whole week. Indicate your roommate preference on the registration form. Shared rooms are limited. We do not guarantee that you will be in a shared room with your requested roommate, but we will do our best to accommodate you. All meals are covered under this plan. The number of meals may vary with the program. To stay in residence you must be at least 11 years of age.
- International Students
The fees listed below are for Canadian citizens and permanent residents. For international student fees please contact us at 1 (902) 585 1857 or email academies@acadiau.ca.
Payment Policies
- Fees for residential students include tuition, accommodation and meals.
- All prices shown are per week and include HST.
- All academy registrations require a $50 non-refundable deposit. Full payment is due before the academy starts.
- Group rates for schools, band parent associations and families are available on request.
- If a student needs to withdraw from the program before it starts we will return the fees (less the $50 non-refundable deposit) only if Open Acadia receives your request in writing at least 10 working days before the academy starts.
- If not enough students enrol, a program may be cancelled. However, if we cancel a program we will fully refund your money.
- If you receive a scholarship after you have sent us payment for registration, we will refund the amount of the scholarship once Open Acadia has received written confirmation from the awarding organization.
