ALL Policies

To Register

To become an ALL member or to register for a course, seminar or outing, you must be 50+ years of age. Call us, fax, or mail your registration to Open Acadia. Office hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday to Friday.

While seminars and outings are free to ALL members you must sign up for them in advance of the start date. Enrolment may be limited in some cases due to a pre-set enrolment size or the size of the classroom available to us.

Payment and Refund Policies

  1. Full payment must accompany the registration form.
  2. In the event that you need to withdraw from the course, the fees will be returned, less a $15 processing fee, provided the request is received in writing by Open Acadia five working days prior to the start of the course.
Textbooks

Textbooks may be purchased at the Campus Bookstore or borrowed from the Vaughan Memorial Library. If you request copies of materials, they may be charged to you.

Parking Regulations

Click here for Acadia University parking information. All vehicles parked on Acadia’s campus must be registered with the Department of Safety and Security, except those at parking meters.

For more information contact:

  • Acadia Safety and Security Department 542-7711
  • Parking Decals, Temporary Parking, and Lost-and-Found 585-1103

Parking at Community Locations

There is no charge for parking at the Port Williams Community Centre, Wolfville Library, or the Greenwich Community Centre.

Inclement Weather Cancellation Policy

The general rule is if the Kings County Schools are closed due to inclement weather the ALL classes are cancelled for that day. Please tune your radio to Magic 94.9 or Annapolis Valley Radio for possible cancellation announcements. The instructor will advise students of the date and time of rescheduled classes by telephone or at the next scheduled class.

For those auditing courses, on campus classes run unless the university is closed (contact the Acadia Safety and Security Department at 542-7711 to confirm), or the instructor cancels the course.
