Accommodations
There are three options for accommodation:
Homestay
Living with a Canadian family is a great way to practice speaking English and to experience Canadian culture. Our Homestay families are carefully chosen for you and are located in Wolfville or towns nearby. You will have your own room in your family's home, and all your meals will be provided.
Students stay in their Homestay for a minimum of 8 weeks. After 8 weeks, students may continue to stay with their Homestay family or find their own accommodations. Please note that spaces in our Homestay program are limited. Please complete the Homestay form (PDF) to apply to the Homestay program.
Residence
The Acadia University campus features several modernized, comfortable residences for students. Living in residence is a great way to meet Canadian students and to become involved in campus activities. All residence rooms have high-speed internet access and telephones, and residence lounges have kitchen facilities. All students who live in residence between September and April will also have a meal plan. You will be able to eat all your meals at the Wheelock Dining Hall on campus.
For more information on Acadia’s residences visit the Residence Life website. All applications are submitted online. If you live in residence, you must stay for a term or pay a penalty fee for leaving before the end of the term.
If you have any questions, please contact Residence Life at residencelife@acadiau.ca
Off Campus
There are a number of apartments available close to the Acadia University campus. If you wish to live in an apartment off-campus, you are responsible for finding your own accommodation. You must have a place to live before you arrive at Acadia University.
If you are searching for off-campus accommodations, we recommend you visit the Acadia Student Union's website for accommodations in Wolfville, Find-A-Spot.
