Program Information
Am I ready for EAP?
The EAP Program is designed for students with some previous English experience. We recommend that you have studied English intensively for at least 2 years in your home country. If you have never studied English before, or only a little bit, you may need to begin your program at one of our partner ESL schools.
What EAP level will I be placed in?
You will write the Acadia placement test on the first day of term to determine your EAP level. If you have recently taken a CAEL, TOEFL iBT or PBT, or IELTS, you do not have to take our placement test. You can go directly into your appropriate level based on your score. Remember to take the EAP Pre-Test before you come to make sure you are ready for the EAP program.
