MEd - Inclusive Education
The Inclusive Education program is designed for individuals possessing some background in inclusive schooling and wishing to prepare for leadership roles in the area of inclusive education.
This program for educators aims to:
- Explore aspects of inclusive education;
- Challenge dominant discourses of democratic action, empowerment, and change;
- Focus on equity and social justice within diverse cultural frameworks;
- Investigate current inclusive education theory and practice from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Core required courses: (15h)
EDUC 50H3 – Introduction to Disability Studies
EDUC 5063 – Foundations of Inclusive Education
EDUC 5123 – Curriculum Practice for Students “At Risk”
EDUC 5303 – Principles of Assessment
EDUC 5513 – Research Design or EDUC 50G3 – Research Literacy
Non-thesis students may substitute EDUC 50G3 – Research Literacy for EDUC 5513 – Research Design as their required research course.
Program Elective (15h course route, 6h thesis route) – Program electives are selected from graduate courses offered by the School of Education or from approved graduate courses offered by other departments or schools.

EDUC 5113 – Qualitative Research in Education or EDUC 5523 – Educational Statistics
