Online EAP Courses

Online EAP 3

OEAP 3 is the first level of the OEAP program, with 4 courses in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. These courses are designed to give you the skills necessary to succeed in an academic English environment. You will have the opportunity to use specific academic strategies in all 4 skill areas in the following way: you will read a graded reader and authentic academic readings; you will learn to take useful notes as you listen to academic lectures; you will write 2 major academic essays; and you will participate in formal debates and presentations.

Online EAP 4

OEAP 4 is the second level of the OEAP program, with 4 courses in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening.  This course is designed to help you refine the academic skills you already possess or have learned through the OEAP 4 level to better prepare you for the various topics and situations that will arise in an academic setting.  Along these lines, you will continue practicing key (important) skills such as presentations, essay writing, etc.

On-campus EAP Courses

University Bridging

University Bridging is the final level of the Acadia EAP program, following EAP/OEAP 4.  The bridging level is offered only on the Acadia University campus in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.  You'll have the opportunity to grow accustomed to Canadian culture and the university lifestyle before you begin your undergraduate program at Acadia or another university.  If you are continuing into an undergraduate program, you will study in an Acadia University academic course in this level, while still attending your EAP classes.

EAP 1-4

The first four levels of the EAP program are all available on the Acadia University campus.  If you have never studied English before, or only a little bit, you may need to begin the Acadia EAP program on-campus in the EAP 1 or EAP 2 introductory level.
