The Program
You will explore the principles of adult education including the adult learning cycle and the identification of learning styles. This program will help you understand the group process and how to build an effective training team. Through hands-on practical exercises learn how to conduct needs assessments, set and write concise learning objectives, and design and lead group discussions. Students will have an opportunity to sharpen their facilitation skills by designing and delivering a short presentation to the group. Constructive feedback from your peers and instructors will help you determine the effectiveness of your session and identify the principles and techniques of a variety of assessment methods for teaching and learning.
The program consists of 10 9-hour modules offered on Friday evenings (6:30 - 9:30 pm) and Saturdays (9:00 am - 4:00 pm).
