Online English for Academic Purposes

Online English for Academic Purposes (OEAP) is an online complement to our on-campus EAP program.  Using OEAP, you can progress through the 1000 and 2000 levels of the EAP program from the comfort of your home, or anywhere you have a computer and internet connection.

OEAP presents Acadia’s respected EAP curriculum translated into the online environment.  Unlike many online English programs, this program has been carefully constructed to offer students a true alternative for traditional English language instruction.

OEAP offers several unique benefits:

• use your time in Canada more effectively: by allowing you to complete the basic EAP levels before you arrive, you spend less time studying English and more time studying in your degree program
  
• spend less money on accommodations and travel expenses
  
• learn English in the comfortable surroundings of your home country

Acadia Online EAP courses are different from other online language courses because you really get to interact with the instructors and other students.  Our virtual classroom lets you take part in live lessons. You will be able to see and speak with your instructor and other students from around the world. In addition, the self study sections of the courses include interactive lectures, quizzes and discussion forums.

Once you complete OEAP, you can be sure that you are well prepared to travel to Acadia to perfect your English skills and begin university study.
