What are the technical requirements of the program?

You will have access to your instructor throughout your online study; as well our courses include interactive group sessions where you can communicate online with your instructor and classmates.
You also have the option of booking a Private Lesson (a one-to-one session) with one of our instructors to help you with a particular assignment, a specific topic, or just to practice your English skills. Each private lesson costs $60.00 Canadian.
Can I complete all of the Acadia EAP program online?
The EAP 3 and 4 courses are offered online as OEAP 3 and 4, but students attend the Acadia campus for the final Bridging level of the program. By attending campus, you will be able to practice your English skills in a native-speaking environment, and grow accustomed to Canadian culture and life.
How much time does it take to complete a course? Can I take more than one course at a time?
Completing an entire course requires 40 to 50 hours of online study. OEAP allows you to work at your own pace, you can dedicate as many hours as you have available to complete your course.
Yes, you can take more than one course at a time. You can work on 1, 2, 3, or all 4 courses at the same time to complete your EAP 3 or 4 study online.
Will I be able to get a study visa/permit to come to Canada to complete my OEAP program?
Once you have successfully completed your OEAP 4 program, a Letter of Acceptance to our on-campus University Bridging program will be sent to you with your completion certificate. As you will be studying English through our online program, you cannot obtain a study visa/permit. If you would like to complete your English studies in Canada you should consider our EAP On-Site program.
What are the admission requirements to OEAP?
Try our online Pre-Test; the results of this initial assessment will provide our client service representatives with an assessment of your English proficiency. The results will then be reviewed and your options for English Language studies at Acadia will be discussed with you.
When you apply you will be required to complete a placement test; this placement test will determine if you are eligible to begin your studies online at the 3 or 4 levels.
