A university is more than just a campus: it's a network of people and groups drawn together by community spirit and a desire for personal growth. In 2000, we formed the Acadia Lifelong Learning (ALL) Centre as a way of sharing the intellectual and cultural resources of Acadia with the Annapolis Valley's growing population of senior adults. Today, Acadia Lifelong Learning is open to adults of any age, and hundreds of community members participate in ALL and contribute to Acadia's vibrant presence in our local area.
ALL offers a variety of courses and events designed for the community, from archaeology and local history to painting and photography. Members age 50+ can also audit courses from Acadia’s large breadth of undergraduate academic offerings. Through ALL programs, participants revisit old talents, discover new skills, make social connections, and learn from a number of engaging local experts.
