This course introduces students to the study of linguistics in its relevance to the teaching of English as a second language. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of phonology, morphology, syntax, pedagogical grammar and sociolinguistics. This course is cross listed with EDUC 5193.

Prerequisites: You must have some undergraduate course experience or permission of the course instructor.
