MATH 1613 - General Linear Algebra and Calculus for Business and Economics (3h)

Linear equations and their graphs. Systems of linear equations and linear inequalities. Polynomials, exponential and logarithmic functions. Vector and matrix algebra. Derivatives and optimization. Applications to business and economics are integrated throughout the course. Emphasis is on understanding how problems are formulated mathematically and on interpretation of mathematically-expressed real-world problems.

Prerequisites: Prereq: NS Grade 11 and 12 Advanced Math (or equivalent); or Math 0120 OR NS Grade 11 and 12 Academic Math (or equivalent) OR Math 0110. Satisfactory performance in diagnostic test is additionally required.
